Bitter Seeds

On Tuesday March 27^th, 2012, 7PM at O.I.S.E (252 Bloor St. W), Room 4-422, we present the Toronto premiere of BITTER SEEDS, a PWYC movie examining the agri-business economic pressures that force hundreds of Indian farmer into acts of desperation every year.

The Indigenous Roots of Americas

On Tuesday April 24^th, 2012, 7PM at O.I.S.E (252 Bloor St. W), Room 5-150, we present THE INDIGENOUS ROOTS OF THE AMERICAS, a panel discussion exploring the shared cultural heritage of indigenous groups throughout the Americas, North, Central and South.

Both events are Pay What You Can, and we encourage audience members to donate to RedPanamericana, a joint programme of TorontothetheBetter and the Hispanic Development Council. The programme works to develop social economy in Toronto’s Latino communities through initiatives like a social enterprise internship programme for Latino youth, community sports facilities, and public education regarding Latin America.
